New Mexico Highlands University is seeking for its Music Program an Artistic Director for HU Singers and Audition Course. The responsibilities for both classes are for the Spring Semester 2025.Meeting twice a week for 16 weeks for 2.5 hours and Audition would be meeting 2.5 a week for16 weeks.
Assist HU Singers Choral Director to supervise, plan, and coordinate the design and technical aspects of the department’s production in HU Singers and Audition Course.
Audition
Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-3:15 p.m.
HU Singers Ensemble
Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 p.m.-4:45 p.m.

A Part-Time Artistic Director position beginning Spring 2025; an individual able to direct HU Singers Ensemble and Audition Course.
HU Singers meets 2.5 hours per week, Audition meetings 2.5 hours per week.
Minimum Job Requirements
HU Singers meets 2.5 hours per week, Audition meetings 2.5 hours per week.
Experience in ensembles, voice, production and directing.
Preferred Qualifications
Qualified candidate will be able to assist in all aspects of technical direction, including but not limited to all levels of stagecraft. Manage all aspects of department’s scene shop. Work with NMHU Choral Director and HU Singers students with scene designing and the implementation of their designs and technical production elements. Facilitate and organize and run the weekly productions meetings. Generate appropriate calendars and maintain deadlines. Manage the department’s HU Singers and creative scene shop to safe and professional standards. Candidate will be required to assist in the theatrical components of the class by character development, blocking and song interpretation.
