Job Description
The Vice President for Student Services provides strategic vision, executive leadership, and direction for the Student Services Division. This role oversees various student-related services and initiatives, including student housing, dining, mental health counseling, accessibility services, physical care, and financial aid.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all student-related services and initiatives
- Chair the Student Success Committee
- Oversee the development, submission, and execution of the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan
- Advise the President on student services policies and strategic priorities
- Enhance cross-departmental collaboration with Workforce Development to expand student support initiatives
- Utilize data-driven decision-making informed by understanding the NMJC community and culture
Requirements
- Masters Degree in student development, higher education, educational leadership, or a related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible post-secondary institutional experience, including at least five years supervising Student Services units
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse student populations and a dedicated commitment to the academic development of all students and working knowledge of current and emerging technologies
