The Online Learning Support and Training Coordinator shall report to the Dean, Applied Sciences and Learning Technology. This is not a remote position. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Standard benefits apply. The full pay range for this position is $63,078.00 to $91,892.00

- Collaborates with faculty, staff, and administration to create and support inclusively designed online courses for new and priority degree programs.
- Assists faculty with course content alignment to program outcomes.
- Provide support to faculty, staff, and students through the use of the Canvas LMS
- Oversees Canvas Help Desk
- Ensures consistency of the NMJC brand throughout the online programs.
- Supports the integration of software systems to promote effective and efficient teaching learning and retention.
- May serve on various campus committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College.
- Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Higher Education, or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in teaching and curriculum development OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- May require the possession of a valid State of New Mexico or Texas driver’s license
- Experience in the management of an LMS system (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of college policies and procedures affecting assigned work
- Knowledge of theory and practice of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of educational program evaluation and the assessment of student achievement, including evaluating data and utilizing findings to improve instructional programs.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the teaching/learning process sufficient to design and implement instructional methods and delivery systems.
- Knowledge of educational trends, issues, and developments at post-secondary and/or adult program levels.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students, and the public.
- Skill in using online databases and internet resources
- Skill in presenting ideas and concepts orally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to assess the educational program planning process sufficient to determine or verify program success.
- Ability to write reports, publications, and correspondence sufficiently to communicate technical subjects to a diverse audience.
- Ability to respond to inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures to others.
- Positions may require driving a golf cart, automobile, or related equipment safely.
