About New Mexico Military Institute:The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co-educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited, preparing students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8. The IPA delivers a distinctive curriculum emphasizing immersive, intensive, hands-on learning in a structured environment.
Position Under the direction of the President/ Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer, the Human Resources/Title IX Director plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources/Title IX Department. This position is responsible for ensuring legal compliance and implementation utilizing internal policies, practices, and federal and state employment law. The HR/Title IX Director must continuously work toward NMMI’s mission and vision through the department’s strategic initiatives. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary is up to $90,000.00 annually. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Supervises the Human Resources/Title IX staff.
· Support NMMI & IPA faculty, staff, and leadership.
· Investigates & develops an institutional position relative to formal and informal complaints.
· Develop policies and procedures that support consistent and legal practices.
· Acts as a resource for supervisors and employees regarding employee relations.
· Works collaboratively with the Title IX Coordinator.
· Other duties assigned.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality for employment law and FERPA.

Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
· Three years of experience in HR Management.
· Must possess a valid driver's license.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must possess the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of staff and faculty and work collaboratively with other administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the goals of the mission of the Institute.
· Employment law knowledge.
Preferred:
· Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
· At least five years of human resource management experience.
· HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
