POSITION SUMMARY:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of our outpatient orthopedic clinic, ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role involves strategic planning, with a focus on driving profitability, managing risks, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the fiscal responsibility of the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term planning, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for financial stability.
- Lead and mentor the finance team and department supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports to leadership, provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, and monitor financial performance against budget and industry benchmarks, offering recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and healthcare industry standards, oversee internal controls, audits, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial practices support quality patient care and clinic growth.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax and employment laws and regulations and adhere to company policies as described in the employment handbook and company work rules.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of progressive management experience in healthcare finance, accounting, or audit required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPA strongly preferred
