We're seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter with a collaborative spirit to oversee our comprehensive financial operations. The role of Financial Director encompasses comprehensive financial management responsibilities for RETA, including maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely bill payments, and preparing financial reports for the Board and state authorities. The position also involves coordinating annual audits, managing payroll and personnel records, overseeing banking relationships, and administering employee benefits. Additionally, the role requires staying informed about relevant regulations, maintaining financial policies, and working closely with external accountants and legal counsel to ensure compliance and optimal financial operations.
This role offers a unique blend of responsibility and creativity, including:
- Financial Management: Maintain general ledger, process bill payments, prepare financial statements, and manage budgeting processes.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, ensure compliance with state regulations, and maintain up-to-date financial policies.
- Revenue and Payroll: Handle invoicing, track receivables, manage payroll, and maintain personnel records.
- Banking and Insurance: Oversee cash management, maintain banking relationships, and manage insurance renewals and risk management.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits, including retirement plans and wellness programs.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, and three-plus years of accounting experience, preferably in government, accounting firms, auditing, or small non-profits. - Cash flow management, and reconciliations: 1 year (Required)
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook: 1 year (Required)
- Financial statement prep, audit prep & auditor management: 1 year (Preferred)
