New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NMSBVI) is interested in hiring a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) to assist blind and visually impaired students achieve their greatest level of independence. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or higher, current ACVREP certification, and eligibility for O&M licensure from the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED). This is a full-time, 9-month position working on a residential campus with students ages 3-21, some of whom have multiple disabilities. Position available for the 24-25 school year. This is an in person position for the Alamogordo campus. Applications will be accepted until filled.
