PROJECT MANAGER - METAL FABRICATION COMPANY
Education: Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
Project management: 4 (Preferred) with an emphasis on structural and/or architectural steel projects and/or steel fabrication
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Utilize construction management software for project scheduling and coordination Software capability of MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook. Ability to use and navigate FabSuite or other manufacturing production computer system
- Review contracts and blueprints to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication.
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings and blueprints. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings (e.g., shop drawings, erection diagrams).
- Ability to organize and maintain complex data, drawings, legal contracts, requests for information (RFIs) and answers, and miscellaneous information through a project’s completion
- Ability to determine and track Cost to Completes (CTCs), change orders (COs), and forecast future costs
- Knowledge and understanding of general construction contract and sub-contract language
- Ability to maintain a professional relationship with clients, general contractors, engineers, field personnel, coworkers, project managers, design, and detail personnel
