Retail Sales Associate/Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while handling transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience.
• Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
• Supervise junior staff members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change giving.
• Engage with customers to promote sales and provide product information.
• Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, especially in grocery stores.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and retail math is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: $16.35 - $17.00 per hour
