A global bank is seeking a Vendor Risk Management Project Senior Consultant. The RAD project team, in collaboration with Vendor Risk Management (VRM) team, is seeking a Vendor Risk Management Project Senior Consultant to report to the RAD Head of Program Management. This role is part of a regulatory implementation and enhancement project with the CIB Vendor Risk Management function, which serves as a second line of defense.
We are looking for a seasoned Vendor Risk Management Project Senior Consultant to help deliver on the project plan, while supporting its ongoing evolution. This person will liaise with the purchasing team, which serves as the first line of defense. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in risk management and purchasing, ideally within financial services or other regulated sectors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the VRM Regulatory Implementation & Enhancement project and presenting updates to Senior Management Review policies and procedures, handbooks, controls, metrics, and training material appropriate for both lines of defense, inspired by or in collaboration with CIB s VRM and US Purchasing departments.
- Assisting with ongoing monitoring, performing risk tracking, data analytics and control testing and ad-hoc projects. Preparing reports on various risks, controls, and action plans. Performing risk tracking, data analytics and control testing.
- Ensure all VRM and Purchasing processes align with industry standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Provide strategic guidance and support for the continuous improvement of VRM and purchasing functions.
- Communicate effectively with various levels within the organization, emphasizing stakeholder engagement.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, to support project objectives.
- Maintain strong organizational and follow-up skills to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree At least 10 years of experience in a corporate setting.
- 5 years experience in Risk Management, preferably in Financial Services or other regulated industry, and at least part of this experience specifically in Vendor Risk Management.
- Adept at communication with all levels of an organization, with a focus on client service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Familiarity with a Vendor Risk Management tool (nice to have).
