What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner position at New Millennium?
Division: New Millennium Overview:
Define the product vision and manage the product development process for all software and serve as the voice for the users
Responsibilities:
- Develops, owns, and executes the product roadmap
- Develops scope and defines backlog items that guide the software development team
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
- Responsible for defining, prioritizing, and facilitating the acceptance of the work generated by the development team
- Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
- Acts as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
- Keeps stakeholders informed of the status of the product
- Responsible for organizing the beta testing efforts
- Planning the rollout of the software
- Analyzing the impact of the software to the business and end users
Required:
- High degree of organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong presentation skills
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with team members and end users
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Familiar with internal programs and tools
- An understanding of Agile methodologies
- Civil PE License
- Experience in customer service, sales, or finance
