We're looking for a SCADA Engineer with hands-on experience in the Ignition platform to design, deploy, and support scalable solutions for industrial automation. In this role, you'll work across multiple projects of varying complexity, integrating Ignition into larger control systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement SCADA systems using Ignition, ensuring they meet project and operational requirements
- Develop user interfaces in both Perspective and Vision, creating intuitive, high-performing dashboards
- Configure and manage alarms, tags, and data connections within Ignition
- Integrate SCADA systems with third-party vendors and NM facilities, ensuring seamless functionality
- Test, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, identifying and resolving system issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to align Ignition solutions with broader automation and control system architecture
- Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and reporting on progress
Required:
- 3 years of experience working with Ignition SCADA or similar platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Strong background in HMI, MES, and SCADA system design and development, with a focus on Ignition
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages used in SCADA environments
- Experience with network architecture for SCADA systems
- Ability to create system designs and documentation, as well as maintain existing systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and CAD
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ignition Core and/or Gold Certification
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and Fanuc systems
- Background in the steel and fabrication industry, including welding, forming, cutting, and rolling technologies
- Hands-on, mechanically inclined approach to problem-solving
