Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. Flexible hours, early morning schedules available.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, sweep and/or mop floors.
- Must be able to operate commercial floor cleaning unit as needed.
- Clean and stock restrooms, hallways, and other common areas.
- Participate in maintaining outdoor grounds.
- Thoroughly clean spills with appropriate equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and painting projects.
- Maintain cleaning chart, indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
- Recommend replenishment needs relative to cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Organize and stock janitorial storage areas.
- Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions or repair/maintenance needs.
- Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Early morning/evening/weekend availability required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or porter roles
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing
- Ability to perform commercial cleaning tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
