Summary: The Training Manager will collaborate with leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to create educational opportunities that align with New Narratives strategy, mission and organizational values. This position will develop, implement, and oversee training content and programs that support the professional development of our team members and enhance the delivery of services to the individuals we serve. Additionally, the Training Manager will act as New Narratives Feedback Informed Treatment Specialist and ensure that our teams are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement feedback-informed practices in their work with participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training Program Development & Implementation:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for staff at all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with best practices, Oregon Administrative Rules, and organizational initiatives and strategy.
Create and maintain training materials, modules, and resources, including online learning platforms (Relias), in-person sessions, and workshops.
Ensure that training programs address the needs of a diverse workforce and actively coordinate with the HR, Equity in Action, leadership and strategy teams.
Provide ongoing updates to training content in response to emerging trends, new research, and feedback from staff and participants.
Staff Training & Facilitation:
Lead in-person and virtual training sessions (or coordinate with appropriate subject matter experts or consultants) on a variety of topics, including mental health awareness, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and organizational policies.
Monitor and assess staff learning and development to ensure retention of key concepts and skills.
Provide coaching and support to staff in applying learned skills in real-world scenarios, through individual or team consultations, helping to foster a positive work culture and high-performance teams.
Feedback Informed Treatment:
Act as a New Narrative subject matter expert on Feedback Informed Treatment
Design and implement training programs on feedback-informed treatment principles and methodologies
Provide individual and group supervision to team-based care members utilizing FIT in their daily operations
Work closely with clinical teams to integrate feedback-informed practices into existing treatment protocols.

Evaluation & Reporting:
Develop and implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs, including surveys, evaluations, and performance reviews.
Analyze training data and prepare reports on outcomes, trends, and areas for improvement to share with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure training compliance with regulatory bodies and grant requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with department heads and leadership to identify training needs and gaps across the organization.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, consultants, and external trainers to deliver specialized learning experiences.
Provide guidance and support to HR and recruitment teams in onboarding new hires and ensuring they receive the proper orientation and initial training.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about best practices and current trends in mental health, training, and organizational development.
Continuously evaluate and improve training content and delivery methods to maintain high-quality, engaging programs that meet staff and organizational needs.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Registration: Master's degree in social work, counseling or education. QMHP required.
Experience/Qualifications: Requires experience with both the Administrative and Clinical sides of Mental Health Services. Knowledge and formal training in Feedback Informed Treatment preferred. A history of training facilitation in a healthcare environment preferred.
