Full-Time, Union, Non-Exempt Position

$16.50 per hour, 40 hours per week

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

BASIC FUNCTION OF RECEPTIONIST:

Greet and direct all customers seeking services and/or information from NOI.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF RECEPTIONIST:

• Welcomes, informs, and directs all visitors, calls and customers in a courteous and expeditious manner.
• Ensures that all customers, community leaders and officials feel welcomed and well received by the agency.
• irects visitors to sign in and calls the person with whom they are meeting.If designated staff member is not available, calls an assigned contact person.
• Contacts appropriate departments if a visitor appears without an appointment to determine if the visitor can be seen or needs to leave information for a follow-up call.
• Maintains and keeps organized the reception area, so that customers and visitors can be assisted in an orderly, pleasant, timely and business like manner.
• Maintains a visitor log and provides summary information as requested.
• Directs visitors to elevators and bathroom facilities, as appropriate.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF RECEPTIONIST: 

Education: 

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
