The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts is looking for a web designer/developer to continue to build out its robust new website and to develop new capacities within the site and potentially improve the back-end use interface for registration of classes. A core requirement of the developer is a strong understanding of the Webflow platform, proficiency in visual design within the interface, coupled with a solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, allowing them to create responsive, visually appealing website functionality while also having the ability to add custom code when necessary; additionally, knowledge of SEO best practices, cross-browser compatibility, and a keen eye for detail are crucial.
Key skills of a Webflow developer:
- Expert Webflow knowledge: Deep understanding of Webflow features, design tools, and functionalities to efficiently build complex websites.
- Visual design skills: Ability to translate design mockups into interactive Webflow designs with attention to aesthetics and user experience.
- Front-end development skills: Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize and enhance generated code when needed.
- Back-end development skills – particularly as it relates to building a functional school-based platform that allows students, faculty and staff to communicate content, calendars and other pertinent information. The most important aspect of the backend platform is that it allows for easy seamless registration of classes, workshops and events.
- Responsive design: Expertise in creating websites that adapt seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
