The Application Support Developer I is responsible for contributing to the development, deployment, and maintenance of our web and desktop applications. This individual will work closely with the Level II Application Support Developer and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality web products.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Under the supervision of the Application Support Developer II, provide support for a variety of web development tasks.
- Collaborate with the Level 2 Web Developer to develop new web features and functionalities
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Node.JS, PHP, or Python, based on project requirements.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of web applications on Linux servers.
- Participate in code reviews and testing procedures..
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in web development.
Collaboratively work with external vendors and end users to ensure operating efficiency and minimize disruption.
- Coordinate installation of new software releases, fixes, and upgrades to software.
- Ensure maintenance of applications in a manner that supports delivery of services to users.
- Ensure continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms, tracking progress, and escalating as appropriate until
- Record new features or changes to configurations/workflows as directed.
Support the day-to-day administration and assistance for MCCNO software environments.
- Respond to software/application issues for end users, helping to identify and escalate problems as needed.
- Assist with support calls and coordinated problem calls with other helpdesk personnel when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; and two to four years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced certifications a plus.
