What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Infrastructure Technician position at New Orleans Public Facility Mngt, Inc.?
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist the Technology Infrastructure Manager with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the permanent communications cable systems.
- Assist with Optical fiber and Copper communications cable plants exclusive of Event related installations.
- Perform scheduled, routine, preventative maintenance of the permanent communications cable systems to ensure they are in satisfactory working order.
- Prepare and maintain documentation on all communication cable plant systems.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of CCTV and access control systems/mechanisms as necessary to meet departmental requirements.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the CCTV video archival storage system.
- Prepare and maintain documentation on the CCTV, Video Archive, and access control systems.
Install and maintain cable infrastructure necessary to support monitoring systems in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Assist with installation and maintenance of all MCCNO digital signage video components and miscellaneous displays including, but not limited to; Meeting Room signs, external display systems, and seasonal decorative lighting.
Support the Technology Events Department with routine and non-routine projects/tasks as assigned.
Experience
Required- Working knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling systems required.
- 1 year(s): Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
