Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and Operating Room Registered Nurse (Circulator) to join our healthcare team. Orthopedic experience, required! In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment. You will be responsible for assisting other healthcare professionals in the operating room to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Must have great attention to ability to move quickly, multi-task, and pay close attention to surgeon preferences. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential in delivering effective care and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This is a brand new orthopedic surgery center with plenty of room for growth!
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed in the operating room while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and address any concerns.
- Assist the surgical team in quickly and efficiently executing surgical cases.
- Be familiar with all AORN standards for sterility.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- ACLS, BLS,
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience as an OR Circulator, orthopedic experience preferred.
