Assistant Director of Nursing Services
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing Services at our skilled nursing facility in New Paltz, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet the medical needs of all residents
- Coordinate infection control efforts
- Provide education and training to staff
- Maintain accurate and timely employee health records
- Track employee certifications
- Ensure compliance and effective communication among nursing staff
- Be available 24 hours on call
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing service plans
- Stay up-to-date with general nursing theory and practice
- Accurately complete medical records in a timely manner
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff
- Oversee daily staffing processes
Requirements:
- Current New York RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings
- 2 years of management experience preferred
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills required
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
- Flexible hours required
- Certified Infection Control Preventionist
