What You’ll Do
New Paradigm For Education seeks a School Operations & Logistics Manager to lead and oversee schoolwide operations for our PreK-12 campus across 2 buildings, managing many non-instructional functions, services, and staff so that the school leaders can maintain a concentrated focus on teaching and student achievement and maximize instructional time. The School Operations & Logistics Manager ensures that the school is managed with operational excellence creating, refining and implementing policies and systems while upholding the values of New Paradigm For Education. The School Operations and Logistics Manager - and their team - work to create a culture of service and support and partner with the school and network leadership team to ensure that the school operates safely, efficiently and effectively.
Job Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree
4 years of experience working in a school setting with experience in school operations and continuously increasing responsibilities
2 years of managing adults
Duties & Responsibilities
Create and monitor systems to ensuring the smooth execution of —
Student Recruitment, Enrollment & Records
Manage recruitment events, school promotions, etc.
Manage and train the Registrar and the student enrollment process form start to finish
Ensure that strong student records are maintained and that requests for student records, both internal and external, are managed in a timely and organized manner
Facilities & Transportation
Manage automobile traffic around the entire PreK-12 campus, creating systems for arrival/dismissal, engaging parent and community volunteers to support high traffic times and implementing innovative solutions
Manage and train School Resource Officers - training & managing the to ensure a safe and secure school environment
Manage relationships with security contractors and their employees
Manage relationships with student transportation providers
After School Programming
Manage and train the enrichment & athletics coordinator, after school enrichment coordinator, and other key staff that ensure strong athletics and after school programming
Create and manage systems and structures for after school programming - managing room assignments, class lists, enrollment processes, etc.
Manage a K-12 calendar for after school and athletic programming, community events, etc. to ensure proper staff are in place, avoid scheduling conflicts, etc.
School Support Staff
Manage and train the building receptionist, nurse/mediscant assistant, copy room attendant and other support staff as applicable. Ensure that these and other support staff as applicable are completing job responsibilities and executing at a high level of excellence, conducting regular check ins and progress monitoring and recommending system improvements as needed
Crisis Response/Management
Ensure that the district has a strong crisis response plan and team in place for all potential scenarios (i.e. fire, tornado, intruder/active shooter, etc.) and identify crisis response team members
Ensure that team members and all staff receive appropriate training and resources and that required drills are held and documented in accordance with guidelines and requirements
Other ancillary duties as needed or assigned by your supervisor.
