About the Position:
Currently, our expanding team at New Pathways Clinic is seeking an IV infusion Nurse for our Cincinnati location. This role is 100% outpatient, nurse to patient ratio is 1:1, no weekends or holidays required. Education and training will be provided upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nursing assessments, interventions, documentation in accordance with standards of practice for mental health patient population.
- Administer IVs, IM, subcutaneous injections, nasal sprays. Strong IV skills preferred
- Direct patient observation and monitoring of vital signs during Ketamine IV infusions
- Administer treatments according to protocols and supervising provider.
- Assess educational needs and provide tailored information for understanding of health and self-care practices.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and address complaints/concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating a willingness to be flexible and adapt as situations require.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness in office and clinic spaces, adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA.
- Stay updated on advancements in mental health care and certifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient records and reports in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and communicate appropriately and clearly to all office staff.
- Communicate significant changes in patient conditions to supervising provider and provide appropriate intervention based on standing orders and direction from supervising provider.
- Foster a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Active Nursing license in the state of Ohio or multi-state (required)
- Nursing experience: 2 years of ER, ICU, PACU, telemetry, psychiatric (preferred)
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- Clean background check and drug screening
- Strong IV placement skills
- Proficient with medical software and equipment
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to proactively work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team
