Job Summary
The AMFT, APCC position is designed for dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing mental health support and counseling services. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist(AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) under the supervision of a licensed therapist, you will work with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of mental health issues. This role requires a strong commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development in the field of mental health.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with established treatment plans.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in regular supervision meetings to discuss case management and professional development.
- Stay updated on best practices in counseling and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Must possess an active AMFT or APCC license or be eligible for licensure.
- Experience in clinical settings is preferred but not mandatory; internships or practicum experience will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining client records and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations (e.g., LGBTQIA , children, trauma survivors, etc.)
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms
- Interest in specific therapeutic approaches or specialties (e.g., trauma-informed care, family systems, mindfulness-based therapies, etc.)
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) a plus
