Operational Excellence (OPEX) Specialist

New Pig Fulfillment is seeking a uniquely qualified, highly motivated self-starter with a background in continuous improvement, training, and quality to join our fulfillment team.
This position has the opportunity to work with our fulfillment team, which is currently operating out of our Tipton location. Still, the position would be flexible for any future location of New Pig Fulfillment. The driving route will be out of our Tipton location. Standard work hours are 7am-3pm with OT
Essential Duties:
- Creating, documenting and auditing best practices inside the fulfillment center
- Creating and implementing training program
- Root Cause Analysis on Quality, Safety and Performance events
- Create and Oversee Quality Inspection/Audit Process
- Create, implement and monitor inbound receiving standards
- Support fulfillment leadership on various projects and initiatives
- When needed, participate and sometimes lead Kaizen or Continuous Improvement Events
- Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in a fulfillment or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and standards. A bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Experience leading Kaizen Events, using Six Sigma methods, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Certification in Six Sigma is preferred but not required
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in quality management systems and tools
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Must demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assigned
- Continuous improvement mindset – willingness to share input readily to improve our manufacturing processes
