Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring the organization's fiscal health, compliance with regulations, and the development of financial strategies to support business objectives. The core responsibility is to guide and control financial processes, budgets, and reporting, facilitating informed decision-making and maintaining the financial stability and growth of the organization.

Essential Functions
•Manages the reconciliation process of all major balance sheet, revenue and expense accounts
•Manages the reconciliation process for all bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash
•Ensures timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for Leadership, Finance Committee and Board
•Manages and reports on all State and Federal Grants including monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
•Helps establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
•Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
•Reviews the general ledger and posts entries as needed
•Reviews and manages the process for all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable credit card activity and payments
•Leads the month end closing process with the finance team
•Oversees the Finance team's work with Development on recording and reconciling revenues
•Meets with Program Managers periodically to review financial activity and reports for their programs
•Helps guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
•Works with the Leadership on annual budget and other budgets as needed
•Oversees all cash account reconciliations for all bank accounts
•Helps lead the annual audit and prepare all materials as needed
•Works closely with Human Resources on medical benefits, 401K and payroll
•Works with team to file all state and local tax returns and assessments including but not limited to 1099s, annual 990, property tax assessment
•Prepares and oversees with the Finance Team all grant and contract reports on a quarterly and monthly basis
•Manages reporting requirements for lenders per loan agreements
•Works closely with Program and Quality Assurance to ensure contract compliance and proper spend down of funds
•Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in finance or 5-years related experience
•Six years of experience with budgeting, financial management, contract management, cash management, and management of a team
•Proficient with the use of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
•Must possess accounting, spreadsheet, and cash management skills
•Ability and desire to work as part of team
•Strong analytical ability
•Experience working for a nonprofit organization(s) as well as multiple public funding sources i.e. government contracts
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
