What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at New Richmond Dental Associates?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient care
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental laboratory procedures such as pouring models and trimming diagnostic casts
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care
- Time management skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Experience with taking dental X-rays and using X-ray equipment
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience is required
