Job Summary:
The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for tracking and analyzing project financial data, communicating trends or concerns to project management. This includes developing and utilizing various methods of valuing work performed and tracking key project financials such as cost trends and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain project schedules, working closely with project management and coordinators.
• Execute, maintain, and submit customer billing projections, verifying alignment with project schedules.
• Analyze project financial data to identify trends and areas of concern, providing solutions to project management where appropriate.
• Provide weekly cost reports to project management and field supervision, highlighting areas of improvement and potential risks.
• Ensure approved work authorizations and change orders are filed and properly recorded using relevant instruments and systems.
• Report values of work performed to the billing department for monthly invoicing.
• Assist the billing department in maintaining billing processes and generating invoices when necessary.
• Manage bid processes, ensuring key bid milestones are communicated to project management staff and all necessary documents are up-to-date.
• Validate and approve project invoicing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in project conference calls to discuss project status, progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements:
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a related position, preferably in construction or project finance controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including internal staff and external professionals.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of programs such as Smartsheet, Vista, PowerBI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Adobe.
