Job Description:
The Project Financial Analyst is responsible for tracking and analyzing project financial data, developing methods of valuing work performed, and communicating trends or concerns to Project Management. This role works closely with both the Project Coordinators and Project Management staff to ensure accurate data collection, thorough analysis, and clear presentation.
This position involves building and maintaining project schedules, executing customer billing projections, and verifying alignment with project schedule. The analyst must analyze project financial data to identify trends and/or areas of concern, providing solutions to project management where appropriate. Weekly cost reports are provided to project management and field supervision.
Key responsibilities include managing bid process milestones, creating project bid folders, validating and approving project invoicing, participating in project conference calls, collecting and reviewing Preliminary/Professional Service Hours, and submitting and recording Affidavit of Completions. Additional duties include completing project reconciliation, preparing monthly reporting of key performance indicators, and ensuring accurate and final account receivables.
A strong understanding of construction or utility industry principles is desired, along with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with programs such as Smartsheet, Vista, PowerBI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Adobe are highly valued.
