Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescription and non-prescription medications to students served by the Agency following all State, County, and Agency guidelines.
- Assure the current status of all mandated documentation necessary for administration of medications at this site.
- Daily administration of medications to students, quality assurance.
- Treatment of student injury/illness, assuring appropriate documentation.
- Punch in/out (including lunch) in a timely manner according to prescribed hours of employment.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a neat and organized personal work area.
- Know and follow all Agency emergency procedures for any real or simulated emergency.
- Respond appropriately to all staff and parent inquires regarding nursing services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification as an Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse and paid work experience administering medications, performing general nursing duties.
Must be accurate and expedient and possess the necessary communication and behavior management skills to work with our targeted student population, parents, and multidisciplinary staff.
