The Supervisor of Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) and Occupational Therapy (OT) Programs will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the SLP and OT services across all Help Group Schools. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can innovate, supervise, and ensure the effectiveness of therapy services for students. The Supervisor will work closely with school staff and administration, collaborate with other professionals, and supervise a team of SLPs, OTs, and support staff to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services.
Position Details:
- Full-Time
- Locations: Based in Sherman Oaks and Culver City, with travel between schools as required
- Grade Levels: K - 12
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the SLP and OT programs across all Help Group Schools.
- Develop and implement innovative service delivery models to meet student needs while improving productivity and IEP goal attainment.
- Establish and refine service delivery models for COTA and SLPA-level therapists.
- Supervision & Team Leadership:
- Supervise and provide guidance to SLPs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPAs delivering school-based services.
- Conduct bi-weekly supervision meetings with therapy staff to ensure progress on goal attainment and service delivery and address challenges.
- Meet weekly with the Director of Instructional Services (DIS) to discuss program developments and needs.
- Student Services & Placements:
- Oversee LAS and OT student placements, including Capstone projects, fieldwork, and pre-doctoral fellows.
- Provide direct LAS or OT services to students across schools, maintaining productivity standards.
- Collaborative Efforts:
- Attend Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings as required, acting as a direct provider or department representative.
- Liaise with school administration, teachers, parents and therapy staff to maintain service quality, consistency, and address any issues impacting education or therapy services.
- Staff Training & Development:
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment protocols and curriculum development.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
- Experience in recruitment, retention, and staff training.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Active professional licensure as an SLP, OT, or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a school-based setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment protocols and curriculum development.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
- Experience in recruitment, retention, and staff training.

This salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs.
