What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor of Waterfront Operations position at NEW SEABURY RESOURCES MANAGEMENT INC?
Would you like to work by the ocean this summer? We have the position for you! The Club at New Seabury in Mashpee is looking for Waterfront Supervisors. This is a seasonal position running June through August. You would be be responsible for overseeing the Beach Attendants and operations to ensure prompt, efficient, and professional service to members and guests by the pool or on the beach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate all employees within department.
- Schedules all staff to adequately cover all shifts – 7 days a week.
- Understand and respond to member/guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Opens and closes all facilities and apparatus necessary for the operation of pool and beaches.
- Satisfactorily complete daily paperwork, including logs and reports.
- Assists members and guests with any problems they may have in respect to the rules and regulations of the Beach and Cabana clubs.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Director of Waterfront Operations, maintains all facilities, rescue equipment, and first aid supplies to the current standards of the Commonwealth and town rules and regulations.
- Overseeing appearances of beach and pool facilities.
- Coordinating the set-up, inventory and break down of beach equipment at the start and end of each day.
- Coordinating the closure or delayed opening of beaches and aquatic programs due to inclement weather conditions after consulting with the Assistant Director of Waterfront Operations.
- Coordinating and supervising the closure of any and all bathing areas whenever such action is deemed necessary during periods of health concerns and other emergency conditions in the interest of public safety after consulting with the Assistant Director of Waterfront Operations, emergency personnel, and other involved Town Officials.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Company at its discretion from time to time.

Credentials And Experience
- High School diploma required.
- Ability to train staff and ensure customer service.
- Effectively manage staff to maintain a high level of morale and productivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Safety minded.
- Employs only those methods and teaching techniques outlined and approved by the American Red Cross.
- Has knowledge of specific state and local laws and statutes regarding pool safety.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
