Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property maintenance, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires effective negotiation skills and a thorough knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, as well as experience with Section 8 housing programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, lease administration, and property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers for property maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare and manage budgets for property operations while monitoring expenses.
- Coordinate leasing activities, including marketing available units, conducting showings, and processing applications.
- Maintain accurate records of property management activities, including tenant communications and maintenance requests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of laws related to property management, including Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and vendors.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices and procedures.
- Sales experience is a plus for promoting available properties effectively.
- Proficient in office software applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
