We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other members of the team.
- Prescribe medication and monitor the effectiveness of treatment.
- Provide therapy and counseling to clients using evidence-based practices.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to provide coordinated and holistic care to clients.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a PMHNP in an outpatient mental health clinic (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
