Job Title: Behavior Consultant at New Story Schools

Your Role as a Behavioral Consultant:
- Assess Student Behavior: Evaluate the initial and ongoing behavioral strengths and needs of students according to school assessment protocols and timelines.
- Attend Meetings: Actively participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other relevant school meetings.
- Develop Behavior Goals: Create behavior goals for the IEP and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans for students.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA): Perform FBAs for students, as needed, under the direction of a BCBA.
- Data Collection System: Develop a system for staff to collect data that supports interventions and track behavioral changes.
- Analyze Data & Create Behavior Plans: Analyze FBA results and data sheets to develop individualized behavior intervention plans, using input from others involved with the student.
- Track Behavior Data: Collect and graph behavior data recorded by school staff to analyze the effectiveness of the Positive Behavior Support Plan.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related fields of study.
Preferred/Nice to have:
- Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally as a BCBA.
