Your Role as an Instructional Coach:

Establish a collaborative coaching approach that supports the implementation of research-based, student-centered instructional practices.

Assist teachers through co-teaching, observation, dialogue, and lesson modeling to promote reflective practice, improve instruction, and enhance student learning outcomes.

Support curriculum alignment by helping teachers plan and teach with core and subject area standards, adopted materials, and appropriate assessments.

Model inclusive, student-centered learning environments that are positive, engaging, and productive for all learners.

Provide non-evaluative mentoring and coaching that fosters teacher self-reflection, self-assessment, and long-term professional growth.

Deliver impactful professional development and guide school teams in evaluating the effectiveness of instructional practices and data-driven improvement planning.

Create and sustain digital-age learning environments and actively contribute to school-based learning communities while traveling to designated school sites as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in special education, or related field
- Current, valid PA Instructional II Special Education certification
- Minimum of 5 years teaching in a special education classroom
- Must be an experienced, high accomplished, and well-respected educator
- Must have the ability to efficiently manage several roles, and the skills needed to work one-on-one with teachers, as well as to oversee a wider staff development effort in the school
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, multidisciplinary team members, and other personnel involved in child’s educational program
