Your Role as a School Nurse:

School Health Management – Develop and maintain comprehensive school health services in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Collaboration & Communication – Consult with leadership on health policies, advise staff on student health conditions, and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and personnel.

Health Services & Emergency Care – Provide first aid, manage medical emergencies, monitor communicable illnesses, and ensure immunization compliance.

Medication & Care Plan Oversight – Administer prescribed medications, oversee emergency medication use, and develop individual health and emergency care plans.

Record Keeping & Training – Maintain student medical records, document health services provided, and conduct staff training in first aid, CPR, AED, and emergency medication use.
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess an active LPN or RN license.
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:
- Previous experience providing health services to children with special needs.
- Previous experience working in a school setting.
