Your Role as a Special Education Supervisor:

Ensure Compliance & Maintain Records – Follow Department of Education regulations, company policies, and FERPA. Participate in the IEP process, complete documentation, ensure confidentiality, and follow safety protocols including PPE use.

Develop & Support Instructional Plans – Create individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals, review lessons for consistency, and observe classrooms to evaluate curriculum, staff, and resource needs.

Manage Behavior & Foster Safe Environments – Implement effective behavior management strategies, apply non-violent crisis intervention techniques, and train staff to maintain a safe, productive classroom setting.

Collaborate with Stakeholders – Engage with Special Education Directors, parents, IEP team members, and school districts to enhance student support. Participate in team, district, and multidisciplinary meetings.

Train Staff & Assess Students – Conduct staff training based on assessed needs, administer educational assessments per protocol, and observe students in home districts for enrollment or transition planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Active PA Teaching Certification is required, such as a Private Academic Certificate or Level I/II Pennsylvania Instructional Special Education Certification (K-12).
- Bachelor's degree in Education, preferably Special Education
- Minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience, preferably in Special Education
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, preferably Special Education
- Experience with behavior management programs and curriculum development
