This role is with an exciting new startup, New Suburban Roofing! Join our dynamic and fun team as we look to grow the company rapidly! Ultimately, we are looking for a Production Manager as listed below but the ideal candidate will start as our Field Supervisor, overseeing installations and ensuring crews have necessary materials. There will be an opportunity to receive a promotion and significant pay increase after a 90-day learning period.
COMMERCIAL OR METAL ROOFING EXPERIENCE IS A REQUIREMENT
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Manager will review, approve, and manage all confirmed sales for accuracy and appropriate project margins before the work order is to be created. He/She will oversee all Production related tasks, including but not limited to those listed below. The Production Manager is responsible for finding, vetting, and testing vendors for current and future projects. He/She will have to travel to customer homes or businesses to perform field and site audits. He/She should have excellent technical and mechanical skills and have experience with basic power tools, diagnostic tools, and should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment. There are some administrative tasks associated with this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conducting routine inspections and providing real-time suggestions for installation concerns, hurdles, and other installation-related items
- Provide timely responses and coordination of repairs of customers' products
- Review all sales contracts for accuracy before ordering to ensure appropriate margins are held
- Coordinate required return visits; convey needed services, materials, and labor
- Perform post-installation inspections as needed
- Anticipate obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutions
- Promoting the company's services
- Maintaining your technical and mechanical skills
- Perform administrative tasks such as, but not limited to; auditing installer invoices and scanning into the system, scanning in copies of customer payments, mailing customer payments to the administrative team or making deposits, ensuring installers are loaded up and headed to their daily job sites in a timely fashion, receiving materials and product shipments, etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- An Associate degree or technical certification in the industry
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience managing processes, budgets, and overseeing crews
- Previous experience in exterior replacement products.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
- Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
- Travel within radius of NSRM customer locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
