Hands-On Impact : Lead and optimize critical financial functions while working directly in the day-to-day financial operations .
Key Responsibilities for Assistant Financial Controller :
Own the monthly close process , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP .
Oversee G / L accounting, AP & AR functions , and inventory accounting & analysis (high attention to detail required).
Work hands-on in the financial trenches , while also driving big-picture financial strategy .
Utilize advanced MS Excel skills to streamline financial processes and provide key insights.
Analyze and support multi-revenue stream businesses , including e-commerce, inventory, and wholesale.
Provide financial reporting and analysis for leadership, influencing key business decisions.
What You Bring to the Table as an Assistant Financial Controller :
- GAAP expert with strong financial accounting & general ledger experience .
- Proven track record in leadership , managing and mentoring an accounting team.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling, etc.).
- Exceptional ability to close the books accurately and efficiently .
- Strong attention to detail in inventory accounting and analysis
- Experience in multi-revenue stream businesses, e-commerce, or wholesale is a plus not a deal breaker.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex financial environment .
