New Testament Christian Academy is currently seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our educational ministry team as an After School / Summer program leader. This position is vital to our mission in ensuring the safety, well-being, and proper care of our students as we serve their families child care needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead After School /Summer program in meeting all goals.
- Supervise children in After School / Summer programs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage students with a daily Bible lesson and recreational activities.
- Assist with homework, provide snacks, and manage group dynamics.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and activities.
- Safely transport students from their day school using the academy's van, and to field trip activities during summer months.
- Maintain the van's cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Firstly, this position requires a love for Christ and for children.
- Valid driver's license with 4 years experience and a clean driving record.
- Experience in child care or education preferred.
- Must pass a background check and driving record check.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to Christian values.
- Ability to work well with children and parents in a Christian educational setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification are provided through on-the-job training.
Hours:
- After School: Monday to Friday, approximately 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with some variation based on school activities. Hours will change to full-time during the public school's summer break and are 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- Reduced fee for employees in our nursery, preschool, after school program, or summer program for employees with children.
