JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development / Branch Manager is responsible for oversight and management of daily branch operations, including branch staff, and the development of new deposit, loan and cash management opportunities along with maintaining commercial and consumer customer relationships. Performs various managerial functions as directed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversees the operation of assigned branch(s); supervises branch staff including performance, scheduling, problem resolution, policy and security compliance; and auditing requirements coordinating resources for maximum results.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to branch staff, encouraging individual and group development and opportunities, conducts sales, customer service training, staff meetings and coaching.
  • Reinforces the application of superior customer service through their own example and provides exceptional customer service with a focus towards growing the Bank's deposit and loan base.
  • Engages in business development activities and solicitation of new business while providing a superior level of customer relations and service and is actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank's products and services.
  • Continuously looks for opportunities to develop deposit and loan growth using referrals and networking.
  • Investigates and follows-up on significant changes in status of existing customers and meets with customers to discuss needs and outline appropriate Bank services and to resolve problems as necessary.
  • Analyzes, prepares and presents account summary and proposal to prospective customers
  • Plays an active role in the onboarding of customers through deploying technology or transitioning their existing accounts over from other FIs.
  • Works closely with senior management to improve delivery of products and services analyzing outcomes to support Bank decisions for future services as well as determining current trends.
  • Collaborates effectively Bank wide to ensure quality and efficiency of service for both internal and external customers.
  • Advances the goals of the Bank by participating in Bank sponsored events.
  • Is an active member in the local business community to support growth in the surrounding areas and businesses.
  • Contributes to the overall profitability of the Bank and assists in the implementation of cost controls, income generation and department marketing efforts.
  • Increases job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum of 5 years in banking
  • BA Degree or higher in Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred or equivalent amount of experience.
  • Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in business development and branch management
  • Familiarity with the industry's regulations
  • Ability to manage, instruct and coach staff members
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication and computer skills
  • Team leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Physical Requirements

  • Office environment.

    Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
