POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position title: Material Handler / General Laborer
Location and Department: Utah / Box Reclamation
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Position Summary:
Inspect boxes for damage, ensure boxes have all parts (foam inserts, etc.). Paints boxes and cover labels.
Essential duties and responsibilities (3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent):
- Inspect boxes for damage.
- Ensure boxes have appropriate packaging such as foam inserts or other packaging materials.
- Prepare boxes for painting.
- Paints boxes to cover all previous shipping or mailing labels.
- May serve as back-up support to the Utah IRS Mailroom as needed.
- Must wear the protective equipment required by the department.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for providing materials and storage of finished goods to all workstations.
- Ensures that workstations are not waiting for supplies, materials, and storage of materials. Ensure lines are always moving.
Qualifications
Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):
- Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
- Previous general labor experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a security clearance.
- Legally Blind or low vision strongly encouraged to apply.

Overall physical requirements:
- Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are more than those for Light Work.
