Position Overview:
The Clinical Scheduler is an essential part of our team. This position is the face and voice of our practice, so we are looking for a person with excellent listening skills and a calm, professional demeanor. The scheduler makes appointments for patients and ensures that the patient have completed the necessary paperwork for treatment. The Clinical Scheduler will answer the phones, respond to emails, and greet patients in our clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and e-mails, greeting patients and prospective patients and reminding them of upcoming appointments
- Schedule appointments for patient consultations, procedures and visits with medical personnel
- Liaise and coordinate with health care professionals about schedules, patients and any changes
- Accept and submit insurance claims and payment, as well as perform billing duties
- Ensure that paperwork is completed by patient prior to appointment
- Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
Qualifications:
- Excellent listening skills, computer skills, and general office skills
- Professional demeanor
- Calm, polite, helpful personality traits
- Phone and email etiquette.
- Previous experience in behavioral health preferred
