Description
Summary: The Information Technology intern will participate in learning and understanding of the hardware, software, and communications system support for New Vision Co-op staff at all locations. Assist in installing, cleaning and maintain hardware, monitors, printers and display screens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists with computer hardware and software support and training for users.
- Assists with computer and telecommunications hardware and software systems at all New Vision Co-op locations, including servers, peripherals, network equipment, workstations, and other computer and network equipment as directed.
- Assists with mobile devices and applications.
- Assists in evaluating system hardware and software requirements and capabilities.
- Assist in the maintenance documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
- Assists with technology problem solving.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Some post-secondary education in Information Technology related degree preferred.
- Advanced computer skills required.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work as a team member
- Valid driver’s license.
