Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The LVN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including acute care, senior care, and hospice environments. This role requires a strong understanding of patient physiology and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations while ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and triage patients effectively.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheterization, and other nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support patients in hospice care settings, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy.
- Experience or knowledge in occupational health practices.
- Familiarity with senior care protocols and best practices.
- Understanding of pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) procedures is a plus.
- Proficient in triage methods for assessing patient needs.
- Ability to manage aliment-related issues effectively.
- Experience in acute care settings with a focus on critical patient needs.
- Skills in conducting diagnostic evaluations for various health conditions.
- Compassionate approach to providing hospice care for terminally ill patients.
- Ability to work effectively within a Level I Trauma Center environment.
