Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services related field
- 5 or more years of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities

Essential Functions
- Ensures the safety, welfare, and the preservation of rights of clients. Interactions with clients, staff, and visitors should always be with respect and dignity. Maintains high visibility in the home and the work/activity areas of the clients and staff of assigned home. Provides direction, instruction, support and assistance to ensure job duties and responsibilities of assigned staff are completed in a timely manner and provide the best possible quality of life for the residents.
- Completes monitoring of client activities across all shifts to ensure client treatment plans and facility policies are followed.
- Meets with subordinates on a regular basis to share information and provide training regarding client treatment plans and facility policies.
- Ensure staff attendance at trainings and in-services. Assists Interdisciplinary Team members with training residential staff.
- Ensures the home has adequate supplies as needed to carry out treatment plans and orders additional supplies as needed.
- Follows Purchase protocol for all client related needs including clothing, food, specialty items, personal belongings.
- Function as a member of IDT for each client in his/her home.
- Collaborate with the home’s Social Support Coordinator to identify community activities/opportunities for individuals to participate in that complete their enrichment classes or interests. Document community integration for each client.
- Maintains an attractive, well furnished, safe, and sanitary living environment for the clients and staff.
- Monitors and oversees all residential services to ensure quality services to the individuals and the home is in compliance with all relevant internal, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Required to participate in Homes Management on call rotation for DSP coverage.
- Learn and follow all policies and procedures.
