The Behavior Technician’s role is to assist with various department responsibilities to residents and facility staff. Train staff on Behavior plans and data collection and assist with new employee orientation as requested. Monitor data collection and plan implementation including the completion of fidelity checks and plan competency checks. Assist department clinicians with behavior assessments, treatment effectiveness evaluation, and probing different treatment interventions through any of the following methods: observation, interviewing, chart review, use of other information gathering methods, modeling positive interaction/interventions with residents, and teaching and training directly with individuals (this may include assisting with group therapy /behavioral classes). Support implementation of client incentive programs as requested. Assist department clinicians with resource/intervention development and purchasing of items. Provide behavioral emergency response as needed. Provide clerical assistance as needed such as assisting with paperwork, and chart and Lifebook organization. Assist with data entry, behavioral graphing, and database management as requested. Assist department clinicians with preparation for treatment team meetings or special reviews. Attend stand-ups, special team meetings, and individual reviews as indicated by assigned clinician or department director/designee. Assist with direct care and support of individuals in the home, in the Enrichment Center, and in the community as requested by department director/designee. Assist with outpatient specialty clinic assignments as requested. Assist with rapid improvement teams, staff incentive initiatives, or other special projects as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Extensive experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
• Ability to meet criminal background and drug screening standards
