Required Education and Experience
- Must be Certified Dental Assistant
- Maintains licensure and/or certification required for position.
- Previous IDD population experience a plus
Essential Functions of the Position
- Assist Dentist with setup and cleanup.
- Prepare Individual Life Plan reports for Daily Dental Care for residents.
- Maintain database for Dental Oral Hygiene.
- Assist with Oral Hygiene/ training on units as needed.
- Copy and file Dental Notes.
- Autoclave Dental Instruments and for Medical Clinic.
- Assisting with Dental X-Rays
- Assists with transferring clients to and from dental clinic appointments.
- Order Dental Supplies.
- Provides receptionist’s duties, as needed, such as answering calls, signing in patients.
- Learn and follow all policies and procedures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time: 37.5 hours weekly Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (must be able to flex hours/work overtime as needed)
