In this role, you will work on our beautiful campus in the Enrichment Center (EC) which supports people living inclusive lives and provides individualized active treatment programs to the clients who live at Oakwood. The EC Instructor is responsible for oversight of classrooms and assists individuals in completing lesson plans and classroom activities. This would include knowing the whereabouts of assigned individuals at all times and ensuring that the appropriate supervision is provided to all individuals, as well as transporting individuals to/from other classrooms. This role must also develop and train on learning objectives for individuals in assigned classes, and maintain records and documentation related to services provided.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population required; 4 years’ experience in the field preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet criminal background and drug screening standards
