Position Type/ Hours expected
Full Time position to work M-F clinic hours. Typical clinic hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm
Required Education and Experience
- Must possess a Licensed Practical Nurse diploma and a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the “Compact State Agreement”.
- Must be able to pass national background check and drug screening.
Essential Functions
- Organize clinics; collect data prior to clinics.
- Assist Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and other nurses involved in providing care to the patients in our clinics.
- Run EKG’s, EEG’s, perform basic podiatry functions in the clinic; perform basic wound care in the clinic and assist in triage care of patients through the Bluegrass Hazelwood Outpatient Specialty Clinics.
- Update client calendar databases with clinic appointments, update electronic health record and aide in the collection of data from the multiple clinics in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Be able to multitask in multiple specialties including medicine, dentistry, Epileptology, Psychiatry and therapy.
- Shall provide individualized services to meet the treatment needs of each of the specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic patients for services in the field of care. Shall meet requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as warranted.
- Perform CLIA waived and Moderate Complex Laboratory testing
- Learn and follow all policies and procedures
